Can Exercise Help Some Survivors Outrun Breast Cancer?

In October 2018, the National Institutes of Health awarded a $4 million grant to further investigate exercise’s role in the development of breast cancer and its recurrence.

The first and most extensive study of its kind will target a biomarker in fat cells to better understand how exercise lowers risk of breast cancer recurrence in women, according to the University of Southern California (USC).
